POSITION: MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Location: Blantyre

Required Qualifications & Experience

Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent

Advanced TEVET Certificate in Automobile Mechanics

Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics (an added advantage)

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a busy motor vehicle workshop

Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and wiring diagrams

Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer knowledge (mandatory).

Key Responsibilities

Deliver quality service by effectively repairing and servicing customer vehicles according to service menus

Conduct pre-delivery inspections on all new vehicles before handover

Ensure “fix it right the first time” workmanship to minimize repeat jobs

Accurately diagnose vehicle faults, identify required parts, and ensure proper fitment

Take responsibility for personal performance by identifying training needs and participating in development programs

Prepare and submit defect reports to Foremen in a timely and accurate manner

Address customer complaints promptly to ensure maximum satisfaction

Properly manage technical tools and equipment to prevent accidents and wastage

Adhere to Toyota standards in handling customer vehicles and tools to avoid damages and losses

Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
