COMPANY DOCTOR

About the Role
Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited seeks a qualified Company Doctor to provide comprehensive medical services to employees at its Lilongwe Head Office Clinic. The role ensures health promotion, prevention of occupational illnesses, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical care & medical consultations to employees
Conduct pre-employment, periodic & exit medical examinations
Diagnose & manage occupational and general health conditions
Monitor workplace health risks & recommend preventive measures
Support workplace wellness programs & health education initiatives
Manage work-related injuries, rehabilitation & return-to-work programs
Collaborate with HR, EHSQ & external healthcare providers
Maintain accurate medical records & ensure confidentiality
Qualifications & Experience
Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or equivalent qualification
Current registration to practice medicine in Malawi (or country of residence)
Postgraduate training in Occupational Health, Tropical Medicine, General Practice or Primary Care is an advantage
Minimum 7 years’ clinical management experience
Experience in primary health care, emergencies, or corporate medical services preferred
Knowledge of preventive health programs (Hypertension, Diabetes, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse)
Experience in workplace health & safety programs is an advantage
Formal training in CPR, BLS, ACLS, ITS or equivalent emergency care
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & professionalism
