POSITION: MONITORING AND EVALUATION COORDINATOR (TEMPORARY)


Location: Lilongwe


ABOUT 

The Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM) is a local non-governmental organization providing youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health rights, information, and services. FPAM complements the Government of Malawi in improving the health status of the population and envisions a Malawian society with access to quality and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services and information.


FPAM is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator on a 5-month temporary contract, based at the FPAM Secretariat in Lilongwe.


JOB OVERVIEW 

Reporting to the Monitoring and Evaluation Lead, the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and managing a robust monitoring, research, and evaluation system with clearly defined results, milestones, and targets to support the implementation of FPAM projects.


The Role


The successful candidate will:


* Prepare and report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual project progress reports to Senior Management through the M&E Lead.

* Conduct comprehensive situation and gap analyses for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting within Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) programmes.

* Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the existing M&E framework.

* Provide input, information, and service statistics for quarterly, annual, and other reports to the Project Management Team and FPAM.

* Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops.

* Assist the Project Coordinator in preparing relevant project reports.

* Facilitate the collation and synthesis of SRHR and related data into a coherent and actionable dashboard.

* Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly project progress reports using DHIS2 and Kobo Toolbox data.


Qualifications


Applicants must possess:


* A Degree in Social Sciences, such as:

  * Economics

  * Statistics

  * Project Management

  * Or another relevant field.


Experience and Skills


The ideal candidate should have:


* Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing project Monitoring and Evaluation systems from project initiation to completion.

* Experience implementing procedures and practices that ensure data quality and verification, including conducting Data Quality Assessments (DQAs).

* Practical experience using DHIS2 for data collection, reporting, and visualization.

* Experience supporting service delivery points to strengthen accurate data recording, documentation, reporting, and utilization.

* Strong analytical, reporting, and data management skills.
