POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION
MBL Holdings Limited is seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, expand markets, increase revenue, and support the long-term growth of the Group.
In the modern business environment, this role requires a strategic, commercially aware, and innovative professional who understands market trends, digital transformation, customer needs, partnerships, tenders, investment opportunities, and sustainable business growth. The Business Development Manager must be able to turn ideas into profitable projects and help position MBL Holdings Limited as a forward-looking and competitive business group.
Reports To: Group Managing Director / Group Operations Director / Executive Management
Key Responsibilities
Identify new business opportunities, markets, clients, tenders, partnerships, and investment prospects
Develop and implement business growth strategies for MBL Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, feasibility studies, and industry trend analysis
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, government institutions, banks, investors, NGOs, and strategic partners
Prepare business proposals, tender documents, presentations, commercial offers, and project concepts
Support the expansion of the Group into new sectors, locations, products, and services
Work with finance and operations teams to assess profitability, risks, costs, cash flow, and commercial viability of new projects
Negotiate contracts, supply agreements, partnerships, and commercial deals
Track business leads, sales pipelines, client follow-ups, and conversion progress
Represent the company professionally in meetings, conferences, networking events, and stakeholder engagements
Identify opportunities in agriculture, energy, logistics, manufacturing, construction, trading, ICT, telecoms, and other strategic sectors
Support brand development, corporate image, investor relations, and long-term strategic planning
Prepare regular reports on business development activities, market opportunities, revenue potential, and project progress
Use digital tools, CRM systems, online platforms, and data to improve lead generation and business growth
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, International Business, Finance, Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field
A Master's Degree or MBA will be an added advantage
Strong understanding of business strategy, sales, marketing, finance, market development, and project planning
Required Experience
Minimum of 4 to 7 years' experience in business development, sales, strategy, commercial management, project development, or corporate growth
Experience in agriculture, energy, logistics, manufacturing, trading, construction, telecommunications, financial services, or government-related projects will be an advantage
Proven record of generating leads, securing partnerships, winning business, growing revenue, or developing new projects

Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into profitable business
Strong networking and relationship-building skills

Ability to prepare professional proposals and business presentations
High level of professionalism, discipline, and business intelligence
Ability to work independently and deliver measurable results
