POSITION: CHIEF CASHIER

Location: Blantyre 

OVERVIEW 

Ekhaya Farms Foods, a subsidiary of Ekhaya Group of Companies and a fast-growing retail food chain in Malawi, is seeking a vibrant, dedicated, and experienced individual to join our team in Lilongwe and Blantyre.

POSITION: CHIEF CASHIER

Key Requirements:

• MSCE plus Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in cash office operations, retail accounting, or as a Cashier/Chief Cashier in a supermarket or FMCG environment. 

• Good knowledge of cash management procedures, point-of-sale (POS) systems, daily cash reconciliation, banking processes, and internal cash controls. 

• Ability to supervise cashiers, manage daily cash office operations, reconcile tills, prepare banking schedules, and ensure accurate cash reporting. 

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve cash variances promptly. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail accounting systems, with ERP system experience being an added advantage. 

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to train, guide, and supervise Cashiers effectively. 

• High level of honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail. 

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
