OVERVIEW 

A private household in Karonga Town is inviting applications from qualified, experienced, and trustworthy individuals for the position of House Cook.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.

- Plan menus and organize food preparation.

- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas.

- Ensure proper food handling and storage.

- Monitor kitchen supplies and report shortages.

- Follow household dietary requirements and instructions.

- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

✅ Certificate or qualification in Cooking, Catering, Hospitality, or related field.

✅ Experience as a cook in a private home, lodge, hotel, restaurant, or similar environment.

✅ Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.

✅ Ability to prepare local and continental dishes.

✅ Honest, reliable, respectful, and able to work with minimal supervision.

✅ Good communication skills.
