POSITION: REPORTER (1 POSITION)

Location: Nsanje

OVERVIEW

Nyanthepa is a community radio station based in Nsanje. Nyanthepa envisions a developed society with citizens who are productively contributing to the development of Nsanje District.

Nyanthepa is looking for a self-motivated, interactive, innovative, and enthusiastic person to fill the position of Reporter.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Certificate or Diploma in Journalism from any recognized institution.

Proven experience in news editing, including familiarity with radio broadcasting standards.

Well conversant with Chisena, English, and Chichewa languages.

Ability to present news in Chisena, Chichewa, and English.

Strong ability to write clear news stories for radio and online platforms.

Ability to conduct thorough interviews with sources.

Strong understanding of sports rules, terminology, and current events.

Familiarity with audio recording equipment and editing software.

Ability to critically scrutinize and analyze facts and opinions.

Ability to work under tight schedules.

Ability to work in a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and research news stories.

Write news stories for radio and online platforms.

Present news stories on air.

Conduct interviews.

Cover live radio events.
