POSITION: STEVEDORE

Location: Likoma Port

OVERVIEW 

Malawi Lake Services Limited invites applications from suitably qualified Malawian candidates for the non-established position of Stevedore under the Government Marine Department at Likoma Port.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Loading and offloading cargo from ships.

- Maintaining general cleanliness of the port premises.

- Attending to the mooring ropes of ships during arrival and departure.

- Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Interested candidates must:

- Possess a Malawi Junior School Certificate of Education (JCE) as the minimum academic qualification.

- Be aged between 25 and 33 years.

- Have sober habits and demonstrate good conduct.

- Be physically fit and able to perform manual duties associated with the position.
