POSITION: MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING (MEL) ASSOCIATE

Location: Lilongwe


Reports to: Executive Director

OVERVIEW

Moyowathu Wabwino (MwB) is inviting applications from qualified and analytical professionals for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Associate.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health or another relevant discipline with quantitative or research content.

• At least 2 years' relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, data management or programme learning.

• Experience developing indicators, data collection tools, databases or performance tracking systems.

• Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and communicate findings clearly.

• Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.

• Experience with digital data collection, data visualisation or statistical software is an advantage.

• Knowledge of results-based management, data quality assurance and evaluation approaches is desirable.

• Strong analytical, communication and data management skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support implementation of MwB's MEL Framework and Strategic Results Framework.

• Develop and maintain indicators, data collection tools, reporting templates and monitoring plans.

• Support establishment of programme baselines and targets.

• Coordinate data collection, verification, analysis and secure storage.

• Maintain organisational databases, indicator trackers and performance dashboards.

• Conduct data quality checks and support field monitoring, surveys and evaluations.

• Promote data disaggregation by sex, age, disability and other relevant characteristics.

• Support community feedback and complaints mechanisms.

• Prepare performance reports, dashboards and management briefs.

• Facilitate reflection and learning processes to support adaptive management.

• Document lessons, case studies and outcome stories.
