About Old Mutual
Old Mutual is seeking a highly analytical, proactive, and results-oriented Strategy Support Specialist to support the development, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives that drive business performance and long-term growth.
Based in Blantyre, the successful candidate will report to the Strategy, Data and Digital Executive and provide strategic analysis, business intelligence, research, and performance insights to support decision-making across the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of strategic policies, frameworks, and procedures.
- Conduct horizon scanning and market intelligence to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Monitor and analyse business performance metrics to ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
- Provide strategic advice and insights on business challenges and opportunities.
- Support strategic planning processes and the execution of business priorities.
- Prepare and coordinate analytical reports, dashboards, and management insights.
- Conduct strategic analysis using financial, operational, customer, and market data.
- Undertake economic and market research to inform strategic initiatives.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify business trends and opportunities.
- Support the preparation of business cases, feasibility assessments, and strategic projects.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in strategic planning, business performance analysis, reporting, research, or business intelligence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
