OVERVIEW
Mamaland, a Mota-Engil Group company, is dedicated to developing and maintaining sustainable systems through an inclusive approach that promotes prosperity for people and the planet.
The company is implementing the MoRe Project, a large-scale initiative expected to run for 40 years. The project focuses on restoring 555,000 hectares of degraded land in Malawi through reforestation, agroforestry and assisted natural regeneration, while promoting active community involvement.

POSITION: TRANSPORT MANAGER (AGROFORESTRY)
JOB SUMMARY
The Transport Manager will coordinate drivers and equipment operators, plan transportation movements, manage the movement of equipment and consumables, monitor fuel consumption and fleet utilisation, and ensure operational discipline and road safety compliance.
The successful candidate will work closely with workshop and operational teams to support efficient transport and fleet operations.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Transport Manager will be responsible for:
Coordinating drivers and equipment operators.
Planning transport movements and coordinating the transportation of equipment and consumables.
Monitoring fuel consumption and fleet utilisation.
Ensuring operational discipline and compliance with road safety requirements.
Maintaining close coordination with workshop and operational teams.
Supporting efficient use and management of transport resources.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Academic Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
Completed secondary education or technical training in Transport, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Experience
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in fleet and transport management within agroforestry operations, construction, mining or similar sectors.
Experience coordinating drivers, equipment operators and transport resources.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
Knowledge of fuel control, fleet management and operational planning.
Understanding of road safety regulations and operational best practices.
Strong planning, organisational and team-management skills.
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in English (mandatory).
A valid driving licence, preferably with international validity.
Willingness to relocate and work in Malawi.
