JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Location: Various Sunbird Hotels and Resorts, Malawi

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing medium to long term plans for the maintenance department.
• Ensuring availability of spares and tools for the hotel's environment.
• Formulating an annual preventative maintenance schedule.
• Conducting room care program regularly.
• Supervising and certifying contractors' work by ensuring it is carried out according to set standards.
• Monitoring maintenance costs.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Attributes desired:

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from an institution recognized by NCHE (Bachelor's degree in the above disciplines will have an added advantage).
• A full Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in a hotel setup.
• Must be a team player.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Good technical services competencies.
