POSITION: DENTISTS AND DENTAL THERAPISTS (TECHNICIANS)

Shalom Dental Services, is therefore looking for skilled and experienced dentists and dental therapists (technicians) to join its team. The ideal candidates must have a passion for providing high-quality dental care to our patients and must be committed to staying up-to-date with the latest dental technologies and techniques.

Key responsibilities

Diagnose and treat oral diseases, injuries, and abnormalities

Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including preventative care and restorative procedures

Communicate effectively with patients to ensure they understand their treatment options and feel comfortable with the care they receive

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques

Perform dental exams and provide treatment plans for patients

Administer local anaesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions (including surgical extractions), and root canal therapy.

Dental prosthetics, such as bridges, crowns and dentures

Teeth-whitening treatments

Orthodontic treatment and other complex procedures

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all dental regulations and standards

Continuously educate oneself on new dental techniques and technologies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) or DDS or DMD or equivalent from recognised institutions of higher learning

Valid practicing license from medical council of Malawi.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to work as a team

Commitment to patient comfort and quality care

Must be a self -starter, mature and able to cope with pressure of work

Must have excellent communication skills
