Job Type: Full-time (3-month probation period)

Job Purpose


To lead, manage, and grow district-level operations for Night Market Solar Bulb Rentals and the Light a Village Project by driving sales growth, expanding market penetration, ensuring high collection efficiency, supervising field teams, and delivering measurable social and economic impact through clean energy access.


The role ensures profitability, operational efficiency, asset security, and community engagement within the assigned district.



Key Duties and Responsibilities


A. Strategic Planning & Market Expansion


Develop district-level sales and marketing strategy aligned with company targets

Identify and map

High-potential night markets

Trading centers

Underserved villages

Develop quarterly expansion plans.

Conduct competitor analysis and pricing assessments.

Recommend new market entry strategies.


B. Night Market Solar Bulb Rentals Management


Oversee daily deployment and retrieval of solar bulbs.

Ensure accurate tracking of:

Bulb inventory

Batteries

Charging units

Accessories

Supervise rental pricing implementation.

Monitor:


Daily rentals issued

Collection efficiency

Asset loss rate

Ensure secure storage and charging systems.

Resolve operational challenges in markets.


C. Light a Village Project Implementation


Identify eligible villages for community lighting installations.

Conduct stakeholder meetings with

Village Chiefs

Area Development Committees

Market committees

Coordinate installation schedules.

Promote productive use of energy (PUE):

Small businesses

Phone charging

Night trading

Monitor social and economic transformation indicators.


D. Sales Performance & Revenue Management


Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Monitor daily cash collections and reconciliation.

Ensure ≥95% collection efficiency.

Implement recovery strategies for defaulters.

Manage district operational budget responsibly.


E. Marketing & Community Engagement


Organize promotional campaigns in night markets.

Conduct community awareness meetings.

Lead demonstrations of solar products.

Strengthen brand visibility at district level.

Build relationships with:

Youth groups

Women entrepreneurs

Farmers association


F. Team Leadership & Supervision


Recruit and onboard sales agents.

Conduct weekly performance review meetings.

Provide coaching and mentorship.

Set individual targets for agents.

Conduct performance appraisal

Enforce operational compliance and discipline.


G. Reporting & Data Management


Submit:


Daily rental reports

Weekly performance summaries

Monthly district sales reports

Maintain updated customer database.

Track:


Active agents

Village coverage

Revenue growth

Impact indicators


H. Risk & Asset Management


Implement anti-theft systems.

Ensure proper documentation of assets.

Investigate losses and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain damage rate below acceptable threshold.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


Monthly revenue growth rate.

Number of bulbs deployed per market.

Collection efficiency (≥95%).

Number of villages lit per quarter.

Asset loss rate (<3%).

Agent productivity per month.

Customer retention rate.


Qualifications & Experience


Education


Bachelor’s Degree in:

Business Administration

Marketing

Sales

Renewable Energy

Project Management


Experience


3–5 years in sales leadership.

Experience in solar or renewable energy preferred.

Experience in field-based operations.

Experience managing agents or sales teams.

Qualifications & Requirements


Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance or related field

3-5years experience in management or supervisory role

Experience in managing multiple teams, branches or agents

Background in sales, operations or business development

Experience in performance monitoring and reporting.


Language Requirements


Fluent in English and at least one local language.
