POSITION: COMMUNITY FACILITATOR (3 POSITIONS)

The Patient and Community Welfare Foundation of Malawi (PAWEM) is a local organization committed to improving community health, strengthening resilience to climate change, and promoting sustainable development in underserved communities.

Locations:

Chikwawa District Hospital (1)

Nchalo, Hunger Health Centre (1)

Matawale Health Centre (1)

JOB SUMMARY

The Community Facilitators will support community-based health interventions, climate resilience initiatives, and health promotion activities in Chikwawa.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct community sensitization on health, hygiene, and climate-related risks

Support household visits, follow-ups, and referrals

Collect and report community health data

Collaborate with local leaders and community structures

Promote preventive health practices and resilience strategies

Qualifications & Experience:

Certificate or Diploma in Community Health, Public Health Nursing, or related field

Experience in community-based programming is an added advantage

Strong passion for community development and public health
