POSITION: FINANCE OFFICER

OVERVIEW

The Patient and Community Welfare Foundation of Malawi (PAWEM) is a local organization committed to improving community health, strengthening resilience to climate change, and promoting sustainable development in underserved communities.

PAWEM is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated candidates to fill the following positions:

Finance Officer (1)

Location: Chikwawa Head Office

Job Summary:

The Finance Officer will be responsible for financial management, ensuring compliance with donor and organizational policies, and supporting effective utilization of project resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts

Manage project funds and ensure accountability

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Ensure compliance with donor and statutory requirements

Support audits and financial reviews

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

ACCA/CIMA (or part qualification) is an added advantage

Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in an NGO setting

Strong knowledge of financial reporting and donor compliance
