Position Overview

MSF is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Doctor to join its Oncology Project at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH).

This role focuses on providing high-quality care to oncology patients, particularly in cervical cancer treatment, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

✔ Provide outpatient & inpatient oncology care (OPD & IPD)

✔ Conduct consultations, diagnosis, and treatment following MSF protocols

✔ Manage chemotherapy patients and related complications

✔ Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care

✔ Educate patients and families on treatment and care plans

✔ Ensure accurate medical documentation and reporting

✔ Participate in quality improvement and clinical audits

✔ Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other specialists

📌 Requirements

Education:

• MBBS or equivalent

• Registered with the Medical Council of Malawi

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience

• Oncology or chemotherapy experience (added advantage)

• Experience managing critically ill patients (advantage)

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Ability to work under pressure

• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Fluency in English & Chichewa
