POSITION: OPERATIONS OFFICER – PANEL BEATING
Location: Blantyre, Malawi
OVERVIEW
Success Civil and Automobile Engineering is a fast-growing company offering car hire and civil engineering solutions. Its division, SUCCESS Automobile Car Hire, specializes in vehicle hire and driver services. The company is seeking a skilled Operations Officer – Panel Beating to support its expanding operations.
ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Car Hire Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing panel beating and spray-painting operations while supporting fleet and customer service activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform and coordinate panel beating and spray-painting works
• Inspect vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality and safety
• Execute repair jobs efficiently and to company standards
• Procure spare parts and materials following procurement procedures
• Maintain repair records and prepare performance reports
• Implement safety and operational procedures
• Coordinate repair schedules with the fleet maintenance team
• Conduct fleet management and car handover procedures
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Provide vehicle delivery, collection, and driving services
• Work closely with mechanical teams for coordinated operations
• Perform any other assigned duties
Qualifications and Requirements
• Certificate in Motor Vehicle Body Repair or related field (Diploma is an added advantage)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in panel beating and spray painting
• Mechanical knowledge is an added advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Valid driver’s license
Working Hour's
• Night shifts: Office operational duties
• Day shifts: Panel beating and spray-painting duties
