Location: Club House, Lali Lubani Road, Chichiri – Blantyre

Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract

Role Summary

Mighty Wanderers FC is seeking a dynamic and strategic CEO to lead the Club’s transformation into a commercially viable and self-sustaining institution, while enhancing competitiveness locally and regionally.

The CEO will oversee overall operations, provide strategic leadership, drive revenue growth, ensure compliance, and report to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement the Club’s strategic and business plans 

• Oversee financial management, budgeting, and revenue streams (sponsorships, matchday, merchandising, broadcasting) 

• Drive commercial growth, partnerships, and brand visibility 

• Manage Club operations, Secretariat, and technical departments 

• Oversee football operations (player contracts, transfers, compliance) 

• Ensure compliance with FAM, Super League, FIFA & CAF regulations 

• Manage stakeholder relations (Board, sponsors, fans, media) 

• Lead staff and build a high-performance culture 

• Oversee infrastructure, facilities, and long-term development projects 

• Support Board governance and manage risks/crises 

🎓 Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field 

• MBA or postgraduate qualification is an added advantage 

• Minimum 5 years’ senior management experience 

• Experience in sports/football administration is an added advantage 

• Strong business, financial, and leadership skills 

• Knowledge of football regulations (FAM, CAF, FIFA)
