POSITION: BOARD MEMBERS (2 POSITIONS)

About CBM Malawi

Christoffel-Blindenmission Christian Blind Mission e.V (CBM) is a leading disability-inclusive development organization committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities and those at risk.

CBM Malawi is inviting applications from qualified, committed, and values-driven individuals to serve as Board Members.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Board Members will provide governance and strategic oversight in line with the NGO Act of Malawi. The role includes:

• Providing fiduciary oversight and accountability

• Supporting transparency and good governance practices

• Reviewing organizational performance and strategic direction

• Contributing to policy and strategic discussions

• Representing CBM in relevant forums where necessary

Eligibility and Experience

Ideal candidates should have:

• Experience in governance, leadership, policy, finance, development, or related fields

• Strong commitment to inclusion, philanthropy, and CBM’s mission

• Experience in the public, private, or non-profit sector will be an added advantage

Terms of Engagement

• Board membership is voluntary and unpaid

• Members are expected to attend up to two board meetings per year

• Approved and reasonable expenses may be reimbursed
