POSITION: General Ledger Manager
LOCATION: Head Office, Blantyre
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution
- ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (completed or in progress)
- Membership with ICAM, ACCA, or CIMA
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in General Ledger, Financial Reporting, or Financial Accounting roles
- Experience with IFRS reporting and regulatory financial reporting within a financial institution
- Hands-on experience with ACCPAC, SAP, or equivalent accounting systems
- Experience in an audit firm will be an added advantage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and maintain the integrity of the Bank's general ledger and chart of accounts
- Coordinate month-end and year-end financial close processes
- Review and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial adjustments
- Ensure intercompany reconciliations are completed and outstanding items are resolved promptly
- Support statutory, regulatory, and management financial reporting
- Monitor suspense accounts, reconciliations, and internal financial controls
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Contribute to finance systems enhancements and automation initiatives
