POSITION: COMPLIANCE OFFICERS, (3 POSITIONS)

About the Role
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies,
procedures, labor laws, and internal regulations. The successful candidate will coordinate and
handle disciplinary matters, conduct investigations, monitor compliance issues, and promote
ethical conduct across the company operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, among other duties, the following:
• Coordinating and conducting disciplinary hearings in accordance with company
procedures and labor laws.
• Preparing disciplinary charges, notices, hearing documents, and outcome reports.
• Ensuring proper documentation and maintenance of disciplinary and investigation
records.
• Advising management on disciplinary procedures, labor compliance, and risk
management matters.
• Monitoring compliance with company policies, conditions of service, and statutory
requirements.
• Following up on implementation of disciplinary outcomes and corrective actions.
• Conducting compliance audits and inspections within company departments and farms.
• Training supervisors and managers on disciplinary procedures and compliance
requirements.
• Preparing periodic reports on disciplinary cases, investigations, and compliance trends.
• Promoting ethical conduct and a culture of accountability within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess the following qualifications and attributes:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Law, Business
Administration, Criminology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in handling disciplinary hearings, investigations,
compliance, or labor relations.
• Sound knowledge of Malawi Labor Laws and disciplinary procedures.
• Strong investigation, report writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and integrity.
• Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience in manufacturing, farming, or production environment will be an added
advantage.
