POSITION: FINANCE DIRECTOR

A. INTRODUCTION
Airport Developments Limited (ADL) is a wholly-owned Malawian Government enterprise, originally incorporated under the English Companies Statutes of 1908 and 1913. As the custodian of Malawi’s gateway to the world, ADL manages Kamuzu and Chileka International Airports, Likoma Aerodrome, and all public aerodromes across the country.
Our mission is to deliver world-class aviation infrastructure, ensure the safe and seamless movement of passengers and cargo, and drive socio-economic growth through environmentally sustainable airport management. To strengthen our executive leadership team, we are seeking highly competent and visionary professionals to fill the following strategic positions at our Head Office in Lumbadzi, Lilongwe.
POSITION: FINANCE DIRECTOR
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Role Overview
The Finance Director will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring prudent utilization of resources, robust internal controls, and full compliance with corporate and government financial regulations.
Key Competencies & Skills Required
Deep knowledge of public financial management frameworks.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to multitask and meet strict reporting deadlines.
Leadership capabilities, including coaching and developing finance teams.
Mature, confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
Mandatory Qualifications & Work Experience
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
A full professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) is mandatory.
At least five (5) years of relevant post-qualification experience at a senior management level.
