POSITION: SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS – AGRICULTURE & GEOGRAPHY
Location: Mchinji

It serves approximately 1.83 million catholic faithful through pastoral work and reaches out to a larger community across Malawi through its social development interventions tackling various needs of the Malawian population.
St Annies Secondary School, an educational institution located in Mchinji under the Archdiocese of Lilongwe seeks the services of a dynamic, well-qualified and experienced individual to fill the following positions
Secondary School Teachers – Agriculture & Geography
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Principal and will be responsible for;
Developing and delivering engaging lesson plan aligned with curriculum
Teaching subjects using various methods
Identifying and assisting students in need of extra help and guidance
Maintaining discipline and creating a positive learning environment
Evaluating students’ progress through tests, assignments, and projects
Regularly updating parents on their child’s progress and behaviour
Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades and performance
Supporting extracurricular programs and school events as required
Qualifications
A minimum of Diploma in Education in Agriculture/Geography
Ability to create structured and effective lesson plans that align with learning objectives.
Ability to lead and guide the classroom and acting as a role model
Exceptional organizational skills to manage tasks and duties efficiently.
Boarding Master/ Matron (2 positions)
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Principal and will be responsible for;
Administering first aid, managing medications, and addressing any health concerns that arise
To administer and store medication correctly, checking expiry dates.
Ensures the safety of students during school hours and after school in the boarding area.
Supervising students during meals, activities, and study times, as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment in the boarding and school.
Liaises with parents regarding their children’s welfare, health, and any issues that may arise.
Handle various administrative tasks related to student care, such as maintaining records of health issues, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with school policies on health and safety
To carry out any other duties, as appropriate to the role, when requested by the Principal.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a minimum of MSCE or its equivalent.
Those with relevant experience will have an added advantage
Personal Attributes
The successful candidates should possess the following attributes at a minimum;
A practicing and committed Christian.
A mature individual with strong planning and organizational skills.
A self-starter who is able to work under very minimal supervision.
Have strong intra and interpersonal skills.
Must be computer literate (MS Office, Excel).
Ability to communicate clearly both when speaking and writing in English
Unquestionable professional integrity, discretion, and judgment
