POSITION: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION ASSOCIATE
Location: Lilongwe
Reports to: Executive Director
OVERVIEW
Moyowathu Wabwino (MwB) is a Malawian non-profit organisation committed to inclusive, accountable and sustainable development.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce or a closely related field.
• Relevant professional accounting qualification or progress toward one is an advantage.
• At least 2 years' relevant experience in finance, accounting and/or administration.
• Experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, budget monitoring, procurement and financial documentation.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and accounting applications.
• Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements and donor compliance is an advantage.
• Strong integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, analytical and organisational skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain accurate accounting records, cashbooks, ledgers and financial documentation.
• Process payments, receipts, advances and liquidations.
• Support budget preparation, cash-flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
• Support audit, statutory and donor compliance requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier files, asset registers and inventory records.
• Support office administration, logistics and service providers.
• Maintain confidential personnel records and support HR administration.
