ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A rural agricultural project based in Enyezini, approximately 15 km west of Mzuzu, is inviting applications from practical, experienced and reliable candidates for the position of Horticulture & Fruit Forest Supervisor.

The successful candidate will support vegetable production, fruit tree management and agroforestry activities while organising daily operations and supervising workers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and oversee vegetable production activities.
• Manage and maintain fruit trees and fruit forest areas.
• Participate in agroforestry activities.
• Organise daily agricultural activities and allocate tasks to workers.
• Supervise workers to ensure assigned duties are completed effectively.
• Undertake hands-on agricultural work as required.
• Support the smooth running of horticultural and fruit forest operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be between 30 and 50 years of age.
• Possess at least the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Be able to speak and understand English.
• Have practical experience in vegetable production, fruit tree management and/or agroforestry.
• Be able to supervise workers and organise daily activities.
• Be hardworking, reliable and willing to perform hands-on duties.
