JOB BRIEF
We are looking for a highly organized, qualified and detail-oriented persons to work as photovoltaic (solar) installation and electrical installation instructor.
Therefore, the Institute invites applications from suitably qualified, passionate and experienced candidate to fill the vacant position of:
THE POST: SOLAR/ ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTOR
REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Electrical Installation / solar photovoltaic installation/ Certificate in Teaching, Diploma in Electrical Installation, Advanced Craft and Grade 1 or any relevant qualification.
PRIME FUNCTION: The instructor will primarily be responsible in teaching and supervising students in both theory and practical
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a detailed training plan for the project in consultation with the principal, dean of studies and other project partners.
To help students learn and understand basic and complex knowledge and skills by breaking the lessons in a way that they are easily understood.
Set and timely mark exams in accordance with the specific trade.
Participate in all academic and professional activities of the department and Institute.
Check the school time table regularly.
Organize lessons and working schemes.
Assess and report class performance or progress to the principal / dean of studies.
Preparing a teaching table and class assignments in correspondence with the syllabus covered.
Taking charge of the class learning and teaching materials.
Ordering materials in advance.
Provide a positive role model for students by maintaining high standards of dress, behavior and rapport.
Ensuring cleanliness in the classroom and practical room.
Ensures end products are appropriately managed.
Ensures students are trained according to MIRACLE required qualification level.
Ensures that students are provided with the quality standards of technical education according to MIRACLE standard.
Participation in assessment of national qualifications as an internal assessor and verifier for the particular trade.
To hold weekly departmental meetings for the smooth running of the section and the institute as a whole.
Facilitate effective and efficient working relationship with other sections to promote a conducive environment.
Share information about class issues or management to the HOS, Principal / dean of studies.
Ensuring that discipline among students is maintained.
Reporting losses of utensils, tools and equipment to the head of section.
Adheres to all institute terms and conditions of services.
Undertakes other duties as directed from time to time by the HOS, by the designated officer.
