POSITION: SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

ABOUT

Ndirande CCAP Private secondary school, located in Makata-Ndirande is a Christian centered learning institution which focuses on training youths to be trusted and responsible citizens. The institution believes in instilling discipline to students by providing quality education nourished by instilling good Christian values to them .

ABOUT THE VACANCY

1. Language teacher (Major English and Chichewa as minor)

2. Science teacher ( Major physics and Minor Chemistry)

The institution is looking for well experienced teachers, who can teach the above combination of subjects. The teachers interested in the vacancy should have over 3 years teaching experience with proven record of success in the above combination of subjects.

Proof of successfully delivering the above subject combination will be investigated during the interview process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Instruction and lesson management

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons based on curriculum standards.

Develop and set clear learning objectives for classes, units, and projects.

Use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.

Incorporate technology and multimedia tools to enhance instruction.

Assign and correct classwork, homework, and other assignments.

Assessment and feedback

Assess student performance through tests, exams, and assignments to evaluate their progress.

Provide regular and timely feedback to students on their performance.

Prepare students for standardized tests and other formal assessments.

Maintain accurate student records and prepare reports for students, parents, and administrators.

Classroom and student environment

Establish and enforce rules and procedures to maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.

Build positive relationships with students and address their varying academic and personal needs.

Provide academic support to students who are struggling and additional resources for those who are excelling.

Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe environment for all students.

Professional and administrative duties

Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training to enhance teaching skills.

Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, and other school staff to support student development and implement school-wide programs.

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress.

Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, such as clubs, outings, or revision

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

A Diploma or degree in Education Fitting for the above combinations. Those with proven record of teaching and delivering good grades during MANEB Exams in their previous roles will have an added advantage.
