POSITION: COLLEGE REGISTRAR
Location: Blantyre, Malawi
Montessori College of Education seeks to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated individual to fill the position of College Registrar.
Key Responsibilities
Manage student admissions, registration, enrolment, and academic records.
Coordinate examinations, assessment processes, results processing, and the publication of examination results.
Manage graduation processes and verify students' eligibility for graduation.
Provide secretariat services to the College Senate, Council committees, and other academic governance structures, as assigned.
Ensure the effective implementation of academic policies, regulations, and procedures.
Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date student and institutional records.
Coordinate the preparation and submission of academic reports, statistical returns, and other regulatory documentation to NCHE and relevant authorities.
Support the development, review, and implementation of academic programmes and curricula.
Supervise staff within the Registrar's Office and promote efficient service delivery.
Coordinate the implementation and effective use of student information management systems.
Provide guidance to students and staff on academic regulations, procedures, and administrative matters.
Perform any other duties assigned by the College Principal.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Education, Educational Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised institution.
A Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
At least five (5) years of relevant experience in academic administration, preferably within a university or college of higher education.
Demonstrated knowledge of higher education administration, academic governance, student records management, and examination administration.
Experience in working with higher education regulatory bodies, particularly NCHE, will be an added advantage.
Experience in the use of student information management systems and digital records management.
