JOB VACANCY: FARM MANAGER
Location: Kasungu District, Malawi
Employer: Private Commercial Farm
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: MWK 400,000 per month with accommodation, or MWK 480,000 per month without accommodation during the 3-month probation period.
After successful completion of probation, the salary increases by MWK 100,000, with additional performance-based bonuses.
About the Role
A private 10-acre commercial farm specialising in rice, tomatoes and vegetables is seeking a driven and qualified Farm Manager to oversee daily farm operations, crop management, staff supervision, budgeting and sales.
The successful candidate will also coordinate directly with overseas management and provide daily digital updates on farm activities and performance.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- Practical experience in commercial farming.
- High integrity and strong communication skills.
- Ability to provide daily digital updates to overseas management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily farm operations and manage crop production.
- Supervise farm workers and coordinate the on-site team.
- Manage farm budgets, labour and agricultural inputs.
- Identify markets, source buyers and manage sales.
- Provide daily digital updates to overseas management.
