Location: Blantyre, Malawi

Contract: Fixed-term (4 months, non-renewable)

🔍 About the Role

MUBAS, in collaboration with the Laboratory for Intelligent Global Health & Humanitarian Response Technologies (LiGHT), is conducting a research project on evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs) for safe clinical use in Malawi and other LMIC settings. Applications are invited for Research Assistants to support project implementation within health facilities.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support research activities at participating health facilities

• Ensure compliance with study protocols, ethics, and data governance

• Support data collection, entry, audits, and quality reporting

• Assist with surveys, interviews, and qualitative data management

• Liaise with clinicians, health facility management, and study teams

• Support report writing, meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements

🎓 Required Qualifications

• University degree in Medicine, Nursing, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field

• Research Ethics Certificate

⭐ Desired Attributes

• Experience in health research

• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods

• Understanding of health policy frameworks

• Good interpersonal skills

• Involvement in peer-reviewed publications is an added advantage
