POSITION: CREDIT & RECOVERIES OFFICER
Location: Lilongwe
OVERVIEW
Wala Ltd is seeking a disciplined, commercially minded and ethical Credit & Recoveries Officer to join its Finance and Credit Team and strengthen the management of its growing credit portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Conducting customer credit assessments
• Monitoring instalment payments and credit accounts
• Managing arrears and conducting customer follow-ups
• Conducting field recoveries and visiting customer locations
• Maintaining accurate credit records
• Preparing credit and portfolio-performance reports
• Supporting effective credit-risk and recoveries management
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, Economics or a related field
• At least three (3) years' relevant experience in credit management, collections, recoveries or loan administration
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer-management skills
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer locations
• High levels of integrity, discipline and professionalism
