JOB VACANCY: EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT (ECD) TUTORS

About the Opportunity
Life Awakening Ministries Child Development Centre is inviting applications from dedicated individuals to serve as Early Childhood Development Tutors under its Child Development Programme, implemented in partnership with Compassion International – Malawi Office.
The programme supports children’s holistic development through interventions rooted in Christian values.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate ECD lessons.
- Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Work with caregivers to strengthen their ability to support children’s development.
- Uphold child-protection policies and report suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation.
- Collaborate with the church and programme team to monitor and evaluate interventions.
- Support child-development activities within the community.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be a committed born-again Christian.
- Minimum qualification: Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
- A Teaching Certificate is an added advantage.
- Experience working with children in church-based or community-based programmes.
- ECD qualifications or experience are an added advantage.
- Must be a resident of the local community.
- Must be aged 40 years or below.
- Must have no history of child abuse and demonstrate a strong commitment to child protection.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
