ABOUT THE POSITION
Makoka Agricultural Research Station invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Security Guard (Grade P).
The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting research station property, conducting security patrols and reporting security incidents.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
- Must be between 25 and 35 years of age.
- Must be physically fit to perform security duties.
- Previous experience working as a Security Guard.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct security patrols in and around the research station's property.
- Safeguard research station property.
- Take appropriate action, within the law and assigned authority, when individuals are caught stealing, damaging or trespassing on research property.
- Monitor and check the movement of research property.
- Report theft, trespassing and property damage to supervisors and the police.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
